We landed safely in LA around 7:30am after a restless few hours of sleep on the plane. Because of the delay in getting out of Honolulu, we missed our connecting flight to SLC and got bumped to the later flight. We got some airport breakfast (actually not that bad) and then just waited for our flight about 2 hours later.
It was not the most fun day of travel, but we finally made it home safely to SLC around 1:30 that afternoon. John’s parents came and picked us up from the airport (a big thanks, again, to them).
Overall, it was such an amazing trip! We had so much fun, loved getting to know the people John works with and their significant others, and we can’t wait to go back! It is the longest (and furthest destination) trip John and I have been on together, but hopefully the first of many because we both love to travel. We hope to go back to Hawaii and to lots of other exciting destinations. I think next up is a ski weekend in Colorado, maybe in February…so stay tuned!
